Peter Keilbach is a graduate designer and the creative mind behind all keilbach-products.
He first completed trainings as precision mechanic and mechanical engineer. Afterwards he studied product design at the Hochschule für Gestaltung (HFG) in Schwäbisch Gmünd. As early as during his time at university, Peter Keilbach received various renowned awards for his design. In 1993 he ventured to become self-employed and founded keilbachdesign, an office for design. With the foundation of the brand keilbach, the first products under his own name were introduced to the market in 2000.
From 2001 to 2011 Peter Keilbach lectured at the School of Design in Heilbronn. Since 2009 he is a member of the jury of the Mia Seeger Award.

Our logo, the arrow, refers to the design principles of Peter Keilbach: reduction, straightforwardness and timelessness.
Our products are neither fashionable nor cheap, because we are not interested in creating short-lived consumer products. Our objective is to combine the functional expectations upon a product with a timelessly beautiful design and the best materials.

To unite design, functionality and craftsmanship is the aim of Peter Keilbach. Our headquarter and production are located in the picturesque region of Hohenlohe, part of the state of Baden-Württemberg in Southern Germany. Numerous of our suppliers are located here as well, often family businesses with a long tradition.
